Water Efficiency Calculations
Water efficiency calculations are required for Part G of the building regulations to ensure the predicted use per person per day is no greater than 125litres. If your project is required to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 or 4, then it is likely that your target will reduce to 105litres/person/day or better. Even some councils have now adopted lower than 125litres/person/day standards to encourage lower water usage, especially in areas of low or restricted water sources.
Using project drawings and specifications we will undertake a desktop appraisal of the water usage fittings. These will include, basins, toilets, showers, baths, washing machines, dishwasher, water softeners, waste disposal units, grey and rain water recycling systems. Once our team of assessors have calculated the usage based on the design drawings and specification they will provide a report for each dwelling. This is usually required by your building control officer or NHBC inspector together with the Code for Sustainable Homes assessor.
