2021 Building Regulation Changes
Introduction
On the 15th December 2021 the British Government announced new 2021 building regulations will come into effect on the 15th of June 2022. These changes introduce new measures to lower CO2 emissions and improve the energy performance of new and existing dwellings and buildings.
The changes also follow the future home standards consultation and as expected will implement tougher performance standards and a focus on stricter detailing of certain elements within the building fabric.
What are the changes?
Essentially the new regulations seek to improve the energy performance of new and existing dwellings and commercial buildings, whilst the changes are extensive we attached below downloads for to latest 2021 Approved Documents:-
